Products / Air Quality from BAMs (Beta Attenuated Monitors)
It provides historical and real-time air quality data from a network of ground monitoring stations installed across India. The Indian Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB), the System of Air Quality and Weather Forecasting And Research (SAFAR), and the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) have installed a growing network of BAMs. This dataset provides AQ with an all-in-one solution for getting ground data from various sources - no more switching between different platforms and APIs!
You can get data on PM2.5, PM10, NO2, SO2, CO, and O3 from more than 300 ground monitors across India at an hourly frequency.
Parameters
PM 2.5
It refers to tiny particles or droplets in the air that are two and one-half micrometers (μm) in width or smaller.
PM 10
It consists of particles 10 micrometers (μm) and smaller, also known as coarse particulate matter.
Sulphur Dioxide
Sulphur oxides (SOx) are sulphur and oxygen molecules compounds. It is the predominant form found in the lower atmosphere.
Nitrogen Oxides
Nitrogen oxides, or NOx, are gaseous air pollutants composed of nitrogen and oxygen.
Ozone
It is a secondary air pollutant produced by photochemical reactions involving nitrogen oxides (NOx) and volatile organic compounds (VOCs).
Carbon Monoxide
It is a highly poisonous and flammable gas formed by the incomplete reaction of air with fuel.
